I have a keen interest in Front-End Development. I have created a website displaying some of my UI/UX skills with the development of a Full-Stack Website, including implementing a secure password generator and storage application. This site was made with Flask Server-side and Next.js Front-end.

Social Distancing with Image Processing
In this project I am attempting to create a social distance alarm that uses a web camera mounted above an area. You can see two pumpkins in the picture. Using some different image processing algorithms through experimentation, I was able to isolate and capture the pumpkin shapes (eventually will be people). Using this information and a simple calibration step, I can find the distance between the pumpkins and set an alarm. Greater than 6 ft (72 inches) = no alarm, and if less than 72 inches an alarm (red indicator) is set. (learn more…)

Shazamify: Music Classification
In this project, I experimented with Tensorflow. Extracting audio features from .wav files using the Librosa library. Then developing a script to convert YouTube videos to a .wav file for refining the model. I eventually made this into a Chrome extension to replicate the functionality of the well-known app Shazam.

Rubrik: Cube Solver
I really enjoy the Rubik’s cubes. So much so that I developed a React Native solution for the web, iOS, and Android using one codebase. I found this useful because the internet has many poorly formatted solutions. So I was attempting to make really well formatted solutions available on all three platforms. I also added some cube animations supported on all of the platforms.

I worked as a Software Developer Intern. This was my first internship experience and I was able to take a lot of Agile SDLC knowledge from it. I used SQL and Microsoft SQL Management Server to deliver ERP Solutions to secure data for clients in the public sector. I also worked with some AngularJS to deliver a new front end for a Cloud-based solution and with .NET web applications.

I developed an iOS application enabling autonomous boundary-based functionality and manual control for a robot tractor, providing affordable and efficient solutions to over five agricultural operations using Swift UIKit and Objective-C. Additionally, I hosted a PostgreSQL database on AWS infrastructure by integrating Django REST services to track robot activity, which resulted in a 40% reduction in response time for real-time robot tracking using Python.

I collaborated with a team of five to develop and deliver a home-improvement service through a combination of an app, website, and multiple machine-learning technologies, ultimately generating over $200,000 in revenue. As part of this effort, I designed and launched an iOS application that introduced a new customer workflow, allowing over 100 new users to receive personalized home improvement recommendations using Swift. To enhance user interaction and efficiency, I improved the app’s 3D home scan workflow by integrating image classification and data extraction from labels and appliances, which streamlined the process and resulted in a 50% decrease in completion time. Additionally, I implemented model training and continuous evaluation with AWS SageMaker endpoints, significantly reducing the need for manual administrative intervention by over 60% when converting image data into meaningful home insights using PyTorch. To further optimize development and maintainability, I experimented with React Native for the Web, successfully implementing solutions for Android, iOS, and web platforms. This approach reduced the overall codebase by more than 10,000 lines, making the application more scalable and easier to maintain across multiple platforms using TypeScript.
